Non Surgical Therapy Options

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical treatment for chronic back and neck pain. It has become a standard of care for chronic spinal pain, and a leading alternative to surgery.

The treatment is an effective, safe and cost-effective technique without the risks associated with drugs, surgery, injections, or anesthesia. Decompression therapy treatment is backed by years of clinical research studies, and is the only back and neck treatment that uses the patented smooth logarithmic curve method to distract the spine.

Spinal Decompression Program Options

Our non-surgical spine decompression program therapy offers a safe and effective alternative to traditional invasive techniques. With this non-surgical treatment option, precisely controlled distractive forces relieve pressure on the structures causing your back pain.

At Spine Institute Northwest, we use 2 models of medical devices for this therapy:

  • VAX-D is an established modality which uses prone positioning
  • SpineMED ® is applied in a supine position.

Both devices achieve pain remission through decompression of intervertebral discs and facet joints.
